Strike Gold Without Molds This Christmas

December 7, 2018IAQ Philippines

Living in the tropical climate is great but molds and mildew also love warm and humid climates. Keep your families healthy and prevent molds from spreading in your home.

The materials in your home are the perfect sources of nutritional support for molds to thrive in. Homes in the tropical areas are prone to having high humidity inside.

Bathroom

Taking extra precaution in the bathroom can keep down excess moisture. When getting out of the shower, make sure to wipe or mop your floors to make sure that there is no water left behind. Also, wipe away with a dry towel the residue on your bathroom walls. From time to time, putting a dehumidifier in your bathroom can also control the humidity at a certain level.

Kitchen

Steam produced from cooking, stick on your walls so make sure to have a fan to draw out the steam away from your kitchen. Moisture is what’s left from the steam and can remain on your kitchen walls even after you have finished dinner (sometimes longer) and cleaned your dishes which becomes the perfect environment for molds.

Remember that molds can’t grow without moisture so tackle wet areas immediately. Everyday occurrences like spillage on the carpet should be dried within 24 to 48 hours. Open your windows and doors to let fresh air in and keep a good air circulation. Improving the air flow in your home can keep the molds at bay.

Prevent mold growth before it becomes a problem. There is no one-size fits all solution to molds so familiarize yourself on the areas in your home with the high probability rate of mold development. For better results, call the mold specialists in your area (02) 906 6584 today for mold inspection.
